With ABS and disc brakes, the setup is decent, but the suspension feels a bit stiff on city potholes. On a Pune trip, a tight corner test showed slight understeer. Bottom line, making a bike commuter-friendly and sporty at the same time is always a balancing act. On highways, stability is impressive though.

Price is expected between 1.2–1.4 lakh INR. Likely a single variant launch initially, with special editions later. Market-wise, Yamaha wants to retain loyal FZ fans while attracting new youth riders smart move.

Straight talk: if you’re an FZ fan and want a sportier twist, the FZ-Rave is solid. But don’t expect overhyped tech or unrealistic mileage. The balance between price and features is good, and the city-highway combo is tempting. My personal advice: take a long test ride, feel it in real traffic, and then decide. Alternatives exist in the market, but FZ-Rave has a unique character.
