Mahindra has officially teased the all-new XEV 9S, its first born-electric seven-seater SUV. Scheduled to make its global debut on November 27 in Bengaluru, the EV reveals futuristic LED signatures, sleek proportions, and design cues inspired by Mahindra’s BE and XUV.e concepts.

The upcoming Mahindra XEV 9S marks a defining moment for the brand. According to official data, the SUV is the company’s first ground-up born-electric 7-seater based on Mahindra’s INGLO skateboard platform. The teaser hints at an upright stance, sleek LED DRLs, and a light bar that stretches across the width of the vehicle.
 

During early impressions, we noticed design similarities with the XUV.e8 and BE.05 concept models. These futuristic touches suggest Mahindra’s evolving design DNA under the BE (Born Electric) family. The brand claims that the INGLO architecture will allow for a lower center of gravity and better handling dynamics something that could redefine how electric SUVs feel on Indian roads.

Interior Expectations and Technology

Inside, the Mahindra XEV 9S is expected to bring a more premium and connected cabin experience. Reports suggest a triple-screen setup, powered ventilated seats, multi-zone climate control, and Level 2 ADAS technology. The official world premiere is set for November 27, 2025, during Mahindra’s “Scream Electric” event in Bengaluru. It will sit atop the brand’s electric SUV lineup, above the XUV.e8, positioning it as a rival to upcoming large electric SUVs from Hyundai, Kia, and Tata.
